This is a how-to video showing a method to release and reset a V-brake on the front wheel of a mountain bike, or any other bike with a V-type front brake. V-brakes are also referred to as linear-pull brakes. These brakes are commonly used on many types of bikes, including: mountain, hybrid, comfort, Suede, Pure, Electra, Townie, Navigator, Cypress, & flat-bar road bikes. The brake mechanism's quick-release capabilities are shown, but not the axle/hub/wheel quick release skewer.
